What’s that, you ask?!
Well, way back some time in the middle of last decade when the bike park was just a twinkle in G’s eye, some friends by the name of Si and Andy came to visit.
They hitched a ride to the top of the hill so they could bomb back down again, as you do. Returning with shit-eating grins they proudly declared themselves the founders of the Middle Hill Shredders Association… and so it began.
Fast forward to the present day, the twinkle gave birth to a real (and real awesome!!) bike park, and the two person association has grown in to a huge community of friends old and new, all with a common love for hanging out and riding at Middle Hill.
Now you too can become a member, its easy peasy and there’s heaps of awesome benefits… read on to find out more!

You’ll also have the opportunity to earn Shredders Association Points which can be used to pay for shuttle sessions and camping.
Points can be earned by helping out at dig days and events, recruiting new members, renewing your annual membership and booking a group of six or more riders for a shuttle session.
Got a special skill? Like ramp building, social media wizardry, entertaining the masses or fixing bikes? Bring it to the table and you’re likely to earn points for your contribution too!
What’s the cost?
Annual Membership - Adult $65 ($85 once we hit 100 members)
Annual Membership - Youth $55 ($70 once we hit 100 members)
Special rates for families (see App for more info)
So basically, if you intend to do more than two shuttle sessions in the next 12 months, it’s worth becoming a member.
If you’re more of a pedal-up-yourself type, four visits will pay off your membership.
If you’re a local keen to ride on Thursday nights, or to snaffle up those last minute deals, it’s an absolute no brainer.
Don’t want to miss out on the Mud Buster? Want cheap as chips camping up the Clarence valley? Just want to be part of something awesome?! These are all good reasons to become a member.
And last but not least, once we get 100 people signed up, the price will be going up by $20 per person. No pressure, but, yea, get on to it!
We’re now using HivePass for membership.
The only way to become a member of the Midd Hill MTB Shredders Association is now via Hivepass. It’s super easy and it will only take a couple of minutes to sign up using your smart phone. If you don't have a smartphone, you can sign up online on any device here. However, using the app is ideal as this is where we’ll be posting new deals, cheap seats on shuttle sessions, early event entry etc. There’s also trail status infomation so you can see if there’s any closures when you’re out for a pedal ride.
Here’s how it works:
1: Download Hivepass for free here
2: Open the app and enter your name and email address, set a password and select ‘Create Account'
NOTE: If you already belong to another organisation that uses Hivepass, when you enter your email address, Hivepass with recognise you and you just need to log in and then select ‘join other organisations’ from the side menu.
3: Select your membership package. (If you’re signing up the whole family, have their details ready).
4: Enter your personal details and membership type. You can add a donation at this stage too if you like
5: Pay securely using a credit or debit card
6: Just like that, you’re a member of the Shredders Association and you can start enjoying all of the benefits that brings.
7: If you’re at Middle Hill for some riding, simply show the digital membership card screen to show that you’re an active club member.
If you’re an existing member, your membership is still valid for a year from when you purchased it. We’ll be in touch to switch you over to the new system shortly!
